SipBite EV was founded to bridge the gap between marketing claims and real-world electric vehicle performance. While transition to sustainable electric transportation offers immense financial and environmental benefits, buyers are often met with confusing terminology—such as kilowatt-hours (kWh), peak DC charging curves, NEMA electrical outlet configurations, and battery degradation math.
Our goal is simple: build 100% free, interactive, client-side calculation tools and publish detailed, engineer-verified technical guides so consumers can make confident, data-driven decisions.
Editorial Independence & Transparency
SipBite EV operates with complete editorial independence:
- No Manufacturer Sponsorships: We do not accept payment, vehicle loans, or editorial input from Tesla, Rivian, Ford, General Motors, or any automotive manufacturer.
- Data Verification: All formulas used in our calculators and metrics cited in our technical guides are cross-verified against official EPA databases, National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, and empirical battery telemetry logs.
- User Data Privacy: Our interactive calculators run entirely client-side in your web browser. We never store, transmit, or harvest personal vehicle ownership or utility bill data entered into our tools.
Technical Testing & Methodology
Our calculation engines account for real-world thermodynamic efficiency factors, including AC-to-DC inverter losses (averaging 10% thermal loss during Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging), continuous electrical circuit derating (the NEC 80% rule), and regional time-of-use (TOU) electricity pricing dynamics.
